I had in my collection a Fender Telecaster that had seen a lot of road use and was pretty beat up. It was time to bring it back to life and give it a vintage look.
I shaved the neck down a few mm and left it unfinished… (it’s a preference of mine).
I decided to go with the vintage blue/grey that Fender used back in the 60’s, I aged all the hardware by hand, and wired it up with new CTS pots, new switch and jack. I reached out to Fastback guitars to hand wound me a set of PUPs to my specifications. These were wound HOT for a really deep Texas blues sound. They basically got as many winds as they could fit under the case of the neck pup.
It plays great and sounds amazing!
